Adolf Hitler’s Rule
The world was slow to see who Hitler was and slow to realize what he would create. His vision enacted was a terror so heinous that it was and still is hard to imagine. In the aftermath of his reign and defeat, the evidence, some in piles of human bones, tell the truth and horror of Hitler’s rule.
Hitler became chancellor of Germany on January 30, 1933. His appointment resulted after he won several elections by the Nazi Party.
His was an absolute rule. He destroyed German institutions of democracy and established the supremacy of the Aryan race. The result of his absolute and evil will being enforced, was the murder of six million Jews.
“Either victory of the Aryan, or annihilation of the Aryan and the victory of the Jew.” Adolf Hitler
Hitler’s path to power was through democratic means at first.
A look at Germany before Hitler: Preceding the rise of the Nazi Party, Germany was ruled by a monarchy; that is until the November Revolution of 1918.
And then, following the end of World War l and Kaiser (Emperor) Wilhelm ll’s abdication, Germany became a republic; effectively making Wilhelm ll the last reining monarch. He reigned from 1888 to 1918.
Replacing Germany’s monarchy was The Weimar Republic; a democratic government. The problem existed, that its weaknesses of political instability, financial hardship and social unrest made it a vulnerable target.
The Nazi Party used its manipulative and deceptive tactics, propaganda being at the core, to exploit the republic’s vulnerability. After the systematic dismantling of the fragile and teetering democratic republic, Hitler came to rule and the reign of terror began.
