Titanic Lost
In the early morning hours of April 15th, 1912, the RMS Titanic sinks after striking an iceberg late on the evening of April 14th. More than 1,500 souls either drown or dies due to the frigid 25 degree temperature of the North Atlantic. It is the first time the SOS distress signal is used. The ship The California races to the scene rescuing some 900 plus men, women and children. The last survivor of the Titanic tragedy died last year at the age of 98.
